design

By using a feature-based approach, or by adding free-form geometry, you can build complete design detail into your master models. And, you can easily modify sculpted surfaces as well as create and manipulate even the most complex assemblies.


drafting

I-DEAS provides the ability to quickly and easily document designs with detailed production drawings that are fully associative to the master model. It can also be used as a stand alone, high performance 2D drafting system. A drafting symbols catalog, as well as view and mark up tools are also available.

modeler

The heart of I-DEAS Artisan is a feature-based, dimension driven solid modeler that lets you represent a single part using any combination of solid, surface geometry and wireframe, you choose. Exceptionally easy to learn and use, the Artisan Modeler lets you develop detailed product designs using the most complete set of modeling tools available.

The Artisan Fastener Catalog helps you create completely detailed assemblies without having to recreate commonly used standard parts. The catalog includes thousands of nuts, bolts, washers, screws, and rivets; and supports various international standards, including ANSI, ISO, and JIS.
